Content Auto ICBC

As a government body, the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia is the sole provider of the mandatory basic third party liability ($200,000) in BC.  The basic coverage also provides accident benefits; up to $150,000 regardless of who is at fault, for each injured party; up to $1 million per person if you’re hit by an under-insured or uninsured driver(under-insured motorist protection) as well as up to $200,000 coverage for damage, injury or death as a result of a hit and run claim.

The legislation of this mandatory coverage ensures that all drivers of BC insured vehicles will have some protection.

ICBC offers third party liability limits up to $5,000,000, so, should you be at fault for a loss, the limit you select can satisfy claims against you for damage or injury resulting from the accident.  Choosing the appropriate coverage is a consideration to discuss with your trusted broker.

Collision and comprehensive coverages are considered optional in BC.  How you protect your investment in your vehicle, and the deductible are your choice.   Also available are a variety of packages and endorsements designed to enhance the policy to provide for your specific needs.

ICBC offers a wide range of ‘special‘  coverages, such as Temporary Operating Permits (short term insurance from one to fifteen days), Binder of Insurance (in case you find that perfect vehicle when you are outside the province), Rented Vehicle Policy (renting a car on vacation), or additional under-insured motorist protection (up  to $2 million).  If you have a vehicle insurance need, we can help you find the appropriate product.

Insurance that goes beyond your provincial medical plan

Whether you’re taking a quick trip across the border, or planning an extended stay to escape the cold winter months, buying travel insurance is an essential part of planning your trip.

British Columbia’s provincial health plan may only cover a fraction of healthcare expenses incurred outside Canada and limits coverage when traveling to another province.  These expenses can be financially overwhelming.  To ensure you’re protected from costly medical bills from outside of the province, let us obtain for you the coverage needed.  As a broker, we have access to many different insurance companies.  Through those companies we can offer different types of coverage options including: Emergency Hospital and Medical; Annual Multi trip Insurance or various trip lengths to choose from.  We can also provide coverage that lets you travel around the world as often as you wish, provided that your trip duration does not exceed the maximum number of days selected.

Other types of coverages include Emergency Hospital and Medical Single trip Insurance, Snowbird coverage, Family Plans, Visitor’s to Canada, and non-medical plans including Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption, Flight Accident, Baggage coverage and more.

Trips are meant to be enjoyed, let us meet your specific needs, provide you the peace of mind, and affordable way to protect against the cost of an unexpected emergency medical expense.

We take pride in the excellence of the services we provide and the volume of transactions processed.

Content Auto Insurance Watercraft Insurance

Residential insurance policies will only provide limited coverage for watercraft – usually $2,000 to $3,000. Liability is also restricted, depending on the type and size of your watercraft.

For this reason, a separate boat insurance policy or a policy for a watercraft rider on your home insurance is necessary if you own a boat of any noticeable size or value.
